TRAINING:

Power Pro has some really neat training modes and makes learning fun. We recommend newcomers give it a try!

- Batting Practice
- Pitching Practice
- Fielding Practice
- Simulated game: Bat & Run with no outs being recorded. This is basically you're baserunning practice.
- Simulated game: Pitch & Field with no outs being recorded. This is good practice for dealing with CPU runners.

BATTING PRACTICE:

Here you get 10 swings and you rack up points depending on how well you hit the ball. Top left displays a meter which tells you if you swung early or late. It also shows where you hit the ball and how far. On bottom left shows your previous swings (blue were outs and red were hits.) Top right shows your current score, previous high score and how many swings are left in the current round.

Note: if you take a ball you get one point plus you don't lose a swing. If you get caught looking or swing & miss you lose a swing.

PITCHING PRACTICE

Very simple, hit the bullseye with the ball and it will keep score. The bullseye moves around at varying speeds and you get higher scores for hitting the center of the ring. For a good challenge try a pitcher will poor control, set him to have poor 'condition' and turn off the pitch cursor and strike zone.

FIELDING PRACTICE (part 1):

In fielding practice you can hit the ball anywhere in the field you want, then practice fielding it. Use the L stick to set horizontal & vertical location where you want the ball hit.

On bottom right is the power meter, click 'square' to reduce power and 'arrow' button to increase power. Now click 'X' to hit the ball.

As shown on the left click 'LB' button to bring up the Defensive Shift menu.

FIELDING PRACTICE (part 2):

Click 'RB' button to add baserunners. Shown here I loaded the bases so the 'Guard Middle' defensive shift automatically came up (green bar above power meter).

Middle of screen: note the yellow highlighted text. This means the CPU will hit the ball to random locations around the field. If you'd rather be in charge of where the ball is hit (default) then select the option above it.
